Finish It Up Friday: Back in the Mini Mini Game!

Howdy y'all, I hope your week has gone well! I've been getting sewing time in like crazy lately, so I actually had TWO finishes this week! I'm going to share one of them today and save the other for later next week. :)

So here is a mini mini I finished last night! It was actually done in one sitting after I got into a bit of a sewing frenzy. :) It's the logo for one of my favorite Youtube channels, Markiplier. It's a gaming channel and, despite the foul language, I usually laugh so hard that I cry when I watch his videos. Nothing like laughter to brighten any day, right?

This was a good project to get back to tiny sewing and getting back to the mini mini mindset. It was also a good little exercise in pixel-y piecing. The smallest white squares finish at one inch square! The mustache is appliqued on with Heat n' Bond and I actually did two layers - one layer was too transparent. Also, it's glittery!
You can barely make out the quilting on this one!
The quilting is...hmm...organized matchsticks? It's vertical lines that are more or less 1/4 inch apart, I wasn't too picky. Lol. Also, look how sharp that binding is! I used the Clover Wonder Clips and holy smokes! Those things are aweeeeesome!
Such a happy sewing wall. :)
This little guy gets to join the wall in front of my sewing machine. I've got mini's off all sizes now! Now off to plan more mini mini's, I've got a swap to get ready for! :)

    1. Thanks Ruth! This is the happiest creative space in my home I feel like. My sewing machine sits right below these and all my fabric is on a shelf to the side. It was in a state of hot mess when I took this picture, so it got cropped out for the sake of my pride. ;) LOL

  3. Your new mini mini is so cute. Love how you have a mini mini wall above your sewing area. I'm envious as living in an RV doesn't allow much wall space for hanging quilty items. There are either windows or cabinets. I did hang my Night Flight up over one of the windows, but can't do that very much as it would be too dark inside. :) Hugs and pets for LBC and Elvis.

    1. Thanks Jennifer! I'd give up my mini mini wall for some travel in a fifth wheel! Lol. I didn't have anything for the longest time since we're renting an apartment, but I finally bit the bullet and started hanging stuff. Now it's such a happy space. :) I made sure to give Elvis and LBC those hugs!

  4. It looks great, Ruth! Did you base your cat in the rain off of mine or did we both just have the same idea?

    1. OH MY GOODNESS, YES! 😃 I always wondered who made the original. I saw the picture on Pinterest and wanted one for myself in honor of our then new little black cat. It's so awesome to see who made it finally! 😊

    1. Thanks Jenn! I had put off getting Wonder Clips for so long, now they're my favorite sewing tool! Binding was soooooo much easier and faster! 😊 I had a little brain blast for your mini and have been chipping away at it! I might have dreamed a little out of my skill set, but I'm loving working on it so far.😊 Hopefully the strike doesn't last too long!
